On August 6, the Consulate General held its third "Walk into the Consulate, Walk with Rewi Alley" open day, drawing over 60 Chinese students and teachers on a summer study tour and some 40 New Zealand local students and educators.

Consul General Madam He Ying introduced the Consulate's work and highlighted Rewi Alley's significant contributions to China's revolution, development, and China-New Zealand friendship. She encouraged the students to carry forward Alley’s spirit and become "Rewi Alley in the new era" in fostering bilateral ties.
Guided by staff, the students toured the Consulate's public areas and gained insights into the outcomes of China-New Zealand cooperation in trade, culture, and beyond. After the visit, the group proceeded to the Rewi Alley Memorial Hall, where historical photographs and artifacts brought his extraordinary life and enduring spirit to life.
